Driver's age

25 to 74 years.

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

Hertz vehicles may be driven into the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, but not into other countries.

If driving into the Republic of Ireland customers are required to notify the rental counter staff on pick up of their vehicle of their intention to travel into the Republic of Ireland. A Cross Border Fee of £ 25.00 (including tax) per rental will apply. Fee will be waived for members of Hertz Gold Plus Rewards who book via Hertz website.

If taking the vehicle into the UK mainland no surcharge will apply. However there is a need to inform the Hertz counter staff as additional break-down insurance must be purchased. A fee may apply if you intend to leave the vehicle in the UK Mainland.

Should these restrictions be ignored all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, Super Cover, PAI), if accepted, shall be deemed, null and void, also the driver will be held fully responsible in case of accidents and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.
